I don't have photos for Jean's wedding because I couldn't find the extra battery for my camera that day. Sadz.
On Monday, we went for a surprise birthday celebration with Wen. We thought everything was well planned for and this time we would surprised her. Haha. But being our smart leader, she already smelled something fishy going on since Sun. So well, it wasn't a surprise surprise for her. The food at Mariner's Corner is VERY GOOD! We had a wonderful meal there with very friendly manager and waiters of the restaurant. If you are thinking of having western food and don't know where to go, you can try this place. The steak was very tasty, tender and juicy. Well worth the money. It's at 120 Cantonment Road #01-02, Maritime House. Free parking for those who are driving.
Here's the ribeye steak I ate that day. My meal was $23 inclusive of a drink, a soup, garlic bread and salad bar.
All those who turned up that day.
Merf, Xin and I went to catch BOLT because the night was still young and we didn't want to go home so early. It's quite a nice cartoon. I love it. BOLT is soooooo cute in the movie.
On Tuesday, I was busy doing the video for Wen when Shi suddenly msned me to go out. So Deb, Shi and I chatted on msn for a while and we decided to go for a movie, BEAST STALKER. Before we met up, Deb went for her driving lessons while Shi went to climb stairs (for exercising purposes) and I went to the pool to swim. I was quite happy that within a shorter time (as compared to previous times), I managed to swim 22 laps. So we met for dinner at a western food shop (Can't remember the name of the shop) at level one cineleisure. After tasting good food on Monday, the spaghetti just didn't hit my expectation. Anyway, guess what Shi ate? See below for an answer.
BEAST STALKER is a nice show that I would recommend if you like action and touching scenes. I cried badly towards the end of the show because it's so touching. I think I'm easily touched. Haha.
On Wednesday, we had a farewell high tea for Jason and Elaine because both of them are leaving our school. It's our usual lunchtime buddies that turned up. We went to Zhou Kitchen at Far East Square. $12.80++ which adds up to about $17.50 per pax. Nice food but rather slow service. Highly recommended too if you like Dim Sum. No xiao long bao though. We all had our fill. I didn't have dinner that day.
And we all went back home rather early. I was a bit unsatisfied because it's Wednesday night.. Should be out partying but I was home before 8pm. Haha. Anyway, this was also the day that my lappy almost died on me. Imagine I was almost done with Wen's video and my lappy kena some virus. So the whole night I was trying to restore my lappy and install some antivirus in it. To cut the long story short, I was really thankful to God for "resurrecting" my lappy. Like what Eunice said, we believe in the resurrection power of God. Haha. God can save anyone and anything!!
On Thursday, we had CGM. It's been a long time since I last carried so many things to CGM. Eliz passed me a few packs of My Hope Singapore, I brought my lappy with its adaptor. Ultimate heavy. We had another surprise birthday celebration part 2 for Wen. I think this time round, we were quite successful. Instead of playing My Hope Singapore VCD, I played the video that I made for Wen. Instead of just passing her love offering in an envelope, we rolled the money up and put in a long, slim box. I think her 1st facial expression seemed to be "Huh? I thought I said I want cash? What is this??" Haha. I think she was really shocked. Finally the mission was accomplished. I felt a sense of achievement and relief. Phew!
Here's a CG photo that we took after all the whooha.
Here's how the CD cover looks like in front.
The back.
I'm not very artistically inclined. So it took me quite a while to complete the cover. Also I have a lack of art materials. But I am very pleased with the result. I think it's nice. It's been a long time since I last spent so much effort and so many hours to do a birthday gift for someone. Hee. I am happy. Happy Birthday Wen!
